Zafir Bludevich ran cross country and track at Norwich and was captain of both squads during his senior year. That season, NU finished third in the state collegiate cross country championships behind the University of Vermont and Middlebury College. In track, "Zaf" won the 440 hurdles in a meet hosted by Norwich.
After serving as senior class president,Bludevich graduated with a BS in physical education and one year later, he received his M.ED, also from Norwich. In the fall of 1975, he then went to work for St.Michael's College in Colchester,Vt. and has been there ever since. He has served in numerous capacities, including head athletic trainer, intramural director, summer camp director, and head coach of the men's and women's cross country teams. He currently is the senior associate athletics director. He also holds an undergraduate degree in physical therapy from the University of Vermont.
In 1993, Bludevich was inducted into the St.Micheal's College Hall of Fame. At the time, he was only second non St.Micheal's alum to be inducted into the hall of fame .He also two time recipient of the College Service Award and the Dupont Award as the most outstanding administrator. 
Bludevich has served and currently serves on number of boards of committees. He is a current and past member of St.Michael's Personal Welfare Committees, the NCAA Rules Committee for hockey, and is currently on the NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Championship Committee. He also spent 12 years on the zoning commission of Colchester, Vt.
Bludevich and his wife Jacki have been married for 25 years and they are the parents of two daughters, Zoe and Bryce. Jacki is the St.Michael's College Director of Admissions.
He enjoys being involved in youth sports, especially soccer.
