Directions to Campus

Plan your visit to Northfield, Vermont. Whether you're coming for game day, a tour, or an event—this page helps get you here.

From Boston / Southern N.H.

Take I-93 North to Concord, NH. Merge onto I-89 North into Vermont. Take Exit 5 (Northfield), then left onto VT-64. At bottom of hill, bear right onto VT-12 North. Norwich will be 2 miles ahead on the left.

From Conn. / Western Mass. / Southern Vt.

Take I-91 North to White River Junction. Merge onto I-89 North. Take Exit 5 (Northfield), then left onto VT-64 and right onto VT-12 North. Campus is 2 miles ahead on the left.

From New York City

Take I-87 North to Exit 20. Follow Route 149 to Fort Ann, NY, then Route 4 through Rutland. Take Route 100 to Route 107 into Bethel, then I-89 North to Exit 5 (Northfield). Follow signs to campus.

From Montreal / Northern Vt.

Take I-89 South to Exit 5 (Northfield). Turn right onto VT-64, then bear right onto VT-12 North. Norwich is 2 miles ahead on the left.

On-Campus Facility Access

  • Sabine Field (Football / Soccer / Lacrosse / Rugby): Enter via north gate off VT-12 near Plumley Armory. Sabine Field is directly in front of Plumley Armory.
  • Kreitzberg Arena (Hockey) / Andrews Hall (Basketball / Volleyball): Enter south gate, continue behind Kreitzberg Library to Andrews Hall. Arena and gym access from this area.
  • Shapiro Field House (Tennis) / Garrity Field (Baseball) / NU Softball Field (Softball) / Cross Country Course (XC) / Graveyard Pitch (Rugby): Continue past Kreitzberg Arena, downhill behind Cadet Service Center. Shapiro, fields, and tennis courts are accessible there.
  • Plumley Armory (Wrestling) / Goodyear Pool (Swimming & Diving): Goodyear Pool is located in Plumley Armory. Enter via the north gate and park behind the building for direct access.
  • Note: Due to flooding, rugby may be played on Sabine Field or near the softball field. Confirm location with the coaching staff.
