Guy Gaudreau was a two-sport standout in soccer and hockey at Norwich as a four-year letter winner in both sports.Â
Guy started quickly as a freshman earning Athlete of the Month honors from the Vermont Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association in September for his contributions to the soccer team. He went on to lead the team for three of his four years. Guy was named the team's Most Valuable Player as a senior and was an All-New England selection and is among the top scorers in program history.Â
Guy enjoyed similar success as a member of the hockey team. He led the Cadets to 67 victories in his four seasons, where he was the leading scorer three times including his freshman campaign when he set a then-freshman record 37 points. Guy earned team MVP honors as a senior while also receiving ECAC Division II All-Star recognition. He finished his hockey career ranked fourth on the school's career points list with 88 goals and 56 assists.Â
Guy graduated with a degree in physical education. After graduating, he worked as the head hockey coach at North Country High School from 1980-84. Today, Guy is a successful businessman as the owner of Vermont Heritage Spring Water Company and Vermont Heritage Springwater Distributorship. Now living in New Jersey, he remains active in hockey through his work at various hockey camps in the New Jersey area.
Guy's son Johnny plays for the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets.Â
