Hall of Fame
Dominick F. Passalacqua joins his brother, Sam, as the first brother combination to enter the NU Athletic Hall of Fame. Dom participated in rifle, baseball, basketball, and football as a Cadet and is most noted for his pigskin heroics. Playing halfback and quarterback, he was NU;s top runner and an All-State selection four-times (joining Sam in 1952). He was named All-New England in 1953. As team captain and MVP in 1954, Dom completed his career with a total of 21 touchdowns, a record that stood for fifteen years. While a Cadet, Dom was a class officer and served on the Junior Week and Winter Carnival committees. He was also a member of the Honor Tank Platoon, the Grenadier Dance Band, the Newman Club, the Spanish Club, and the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. COL Passalacqua recently completed thirty years in the United States Army Reserve after serving his active duty in armored cavalry at Fort Knox, KY. He has published articles in area journals regarding the USAR and is Supervisory Staff Administrative Assistant to the Commanding General, 98th Division Training. Dom is vice-president of D's Tire Service and also serves in that capacity for Charlie Bubbles, LTD. (corporation restaurant), where he heads the personnel and training department. Demo has served his local community as a member of the Geneva Musicians' Association and as a City Councilman and Personnel Officer in Geneva. He has also sat on the Hobart College Town Committee and the Boy Scout Committee and is a past Rotary Club member. Dom lives with his wife, Louise, in Victor, NY.
