During his senior season Gabriel scored 10 touchdowns. He was named the ECAC Offensive Player of the Week once and was a three-time FFC Offensive Player of the Week selection. He won the freshman offensive MVP award and the team offensive MVP as a senior.

Gabriel was also a three-year letter winner in baseball and was named Constitution Athletic Conference (CAC) Second Team as a senior.

“I’m humbled and honored to be thought of in the same category and in the same respect as all the other great athletes and individuals who have been inducted before me,” Gabriel said. “I’ll always treasure and hold dear representing Norwich and the athletic program. The camaraderie with your teammates and the tight knit community is truly something special.”

Upon graduating from Norwich, Gabriel began working in the private sector for a security company doing investigations. He then went on to a three-year stint with Boston Fire Department before working as a Massachusetts State Police Officer since 2002.

Stephen lives in Bridgewater, Mass. with his wife Amrita and their two sons Stephen III (13) and Roman (5).
