With courage on the field and dedication off it, Mike Norman was truly one of the greatest football players in Norwich history. Mike was also a four year member of the track team and has gone on to become one of the best high school football coaches in Vermont. As a football player, Mike, was a first team Kodak All American in 1985 and was named to the ECACÂ All Star Team in 1984 and 1985. He served as team captain in 1984 and 1985 and was named team most valuable player in 1985. His senior year, Mike attained the rank of Cadet Major in the posltion of a Battalion Executive Officer. He was also on the Corps Honor Committee and a member of skull and swords. Mike received his bachelor's degree in business administration and his master's of education in physical education and athletic administration from Norwich . In fall of 2000, Mike led the Rutland High School Raiders to the Division 1 state championship. Mike has coached football and track at Rutland with wife, Melissa. They have a son, Ralph and a daughter, Kelsey. Norman joins William Nash as members of the class '86 to join the Hall of Fame.
