Playing as a two-way guard in the era of one-platoon football, Frank C. Wisinski was a stalwart for three years on the Cadet offensive and defensive lines, noted for his tenacity and leadership. He was named All-State for three years and received the distinction of Honorable Mention All-New England in his final season, a year in which he also doubled as a coach of the freshman team. In addition, Frank was a leading member of the golf team for four years and wrestled one season for the Cadets.Â
While at Norwich, Frank was a Newman Club member, served on the Winter Carnival Committee, was Freshman Class Treasurer, and participated in the Varsity Club.
In three years of active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps, Frank attained the rank of captain and demonstrated considerable versatility, serving at various times as company commander, battalion special services officer, regimental head football coach, battalion embarkation officer, battalion atomic-biological-chemical warfare officer, and assistant regimental intelligence officer.
Frank has been a district manager for Texaco, Inc. as well as the owner of an oil distributorship. He also is the owner of a professional placement firm. Active in his community, he serves in several church capacities and is a member of local hospital boards while also serving as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America and the Little League. Frank is a past president of the Kiwanis Club and often donates his time to Chamber of Commerce projects. He held the position of President of the Portsmouth/Seacoast Norwich Alumni Club this past year. In 1978,he was named "Man-of-the-Year" in Claremont, NH. He resides in Portsmouth, NH, with his wife, JoAnn. They have three children: Thomas, Melissa, and Carolyn Wisinski Egan.Â
