Hall of Fame
The 1961 ski team, coached by Robert Axtell, was part of a strong two-year run in which the Cadets maintained NCAA Division I status and defeated such powerhouse programs as Middlebury, Dartmouth, Williams, the University of Vermont and several western colleges. Team leaders included Fred Liddle, Patrick Cunningham and David Woods, each of whom starred in the upstate New York area in high school.
In addition to those three seniors, team members included: Joseph Hamilton, Douglas Poole, Kurt Krohne, Robert Campbell, David Hess, George Valhouli, Robert Warner, William Shumway, David Farr, Peter Durgin and Bill Lounsbury.
