The 1981-82 Norwich cross country team made history, posting an undefeated 13-0 record.  Led by head coach Wallace Baines and assistant coach Michael Churchill, the Cadets ran through their opposition en route to placing third at the Vermont State Meet.  Carolyn Cunniff Mulaney (NU '84) earned All-New England accolades for the second straight year after placing 12th out of 224 runners at the New England Meet.  Tim Duffy (NU '85) set the Norwich course record, clocking a time of 26 minutes, 13 seconds.  In addition to Cunniff-Mulaney and Duffy, other outstanding runners included David Locke (NU '82), Mark Roberts (NU '84), Keith Gelinas (NU '84), Peter Connelly (NU '85), and Greg Conley (NU '85).
