One of Norwich's hockey legends, Geoff Liska distinguished himself all four years on the ice at Norwich. In his first season he was a letter winner and the NU Rookie of the Year. He served as Captain of the team for two years. In 1996 he was MVP of th team, elected to the All-ECAC 2nd team, the New England Sports Writers All-Star Team, and the 2nd All-American Team. Liska was also voted as an ECAC Player of the Week. His final season accomplishments were to be elected to the 1st All-American Team, the NE Sports Writers All-Star Team, and the ECAC All-Star Team. That year he also broke the NU record for the School's career assists. Liska is listed in the NCAA records for numbers of assists per game in 1996. In his senior year, the cadets made the Final Four championship series of the Division III hockey.Â
