A four-year letter winner and two-year co-captain of themen’s basketball team. Fenerty excelled as a senior, leadingthe Cadets to a 16-11 overall record by scoring 18.6 points pergame and pulling down 7.3 rebounds per game. He was named the MostValuable Player of the UMass-Boston Tournament and named theVermont co-Player of the Week.

Fenerty was a two-time weekly ECAC Honor Roll selection andsurpassed the 1,000-career-point and 1,000-career-reboundmilestones on his way to being nominated as a NABC District 1All-Star and Honorable Mention All-State. He also helped leadNorwich to the first consecutive postseason appearances in programhistory. Fenerty was a Dean’s list student with a major inCriminal Justice and a Lieutenant in the Corps of Cadets.

“It’s obviously a great honor to be inducted intothe Norwich Hall of Fame,” Fenerty said. “My coach EdHockenbury was a tremendous influence and not a week goes by whenI’m not thinking of him and how much a great mentor he was tomyself and my teammates.”

Fenerty went on to have a 23-year police career in Exeter, N.H.,before retiring a little over a year ago after working his way upto Captain. He now works as an investigator for the RockinghamCounty attorney’s office.

Chris is married to his wife, Stacy and they have two sons Matthewand Joshua. They live in Lee, N.H.
