Quigley was a three-time New England College Field Hockey Association All-Star in 1978, 1979 and 1981.

"It's an amazing honor to be inducted into the Norwich Hall of Fame, especially as a civilian women," Quigley-Murphy said on hearing the news that she was inducted. "There weren't many civilian women while I was in school so this is pretty special."

Quigley-Murphy reminisced about one of her favorite moments at Norwich. "I remember playing a game on ROTC day with a helicopter buzzing over the field and corps members coming out of the woods with camouflage on their faces painted. The other team stopped playing and we just kept playing because it was normal for us."

Quigley-Murphy developed a love for field hockey while attending summer camp on Lake Willoughby when she was eight years old.

"I liked it enough to play in high school and then college," she said. Now Quigley-Murphy has come full circle while she works as a summer camp counselor at Lake Dunmore. Additionally, she went on to referee women's college and high school field hockey as well as lacrosse for the last 12 years in Connecticut and Florida. Quigley-Murphy's kids also went on to play hockey.

"The friendships I made with my teammates and classmates are some of my fondest memories of Norwich," she said. "We still get together on occasion and it's almost like our own little sorority with the bonds we have made over the years."
