    Honorary, Team Physician
Doc Sullivan worked with Norwich student-athletes for the better part of three decades and is 2012's honorary inductee serving as the primary physician for the Men's Ice Hockey and Football teams while attending all home games as the doctor on call. He has been instrumental to the success of the athletic programs by working with student-athletes to get them back in the game in a timely and efficient manner.

"I thought you've got to be kidding me when (Norwich Athletic Director) Tony Mariano called me," Sullivan said on his induction. "I'm not a grad, I just work here. This hasn't been work. I love sports. I grew up playing sports all year round. For this to be part of my job, it's great. I attend a lot of sporting events outside of the three we are on call at because I just love watching them."

Although Sullivan has attended numerous ice hockey games over the years, he mentioned he still doesn't like going out on the ice unless he has to.

"I do not like being dragged onto the ice by two players thinking I'm going to fall down and embarrass myself in front of a huge crowd of people," he said while laughing. "I also think I've sewed up as many refs and spectators as I have refs and hockey players over the years."

Sullivan, who has lived in Northfield for a number of years, also reflected on how neat it has been to watch the relationship between the school and the community develop over the years.

"It's been interesting watching how Norwich has combined with the town over time," he said. "The town relates to athletics, it's a very athletically oriented community. I'm a community guy so it's been nice to see an assimilation between the town and school with people having the ability to use facilities as well as interaction between the student-athletes and community members."
