Howard Brosseau enjoyed an excellent three-sport career as an undergraduate at Norwich. He earned a total of eight letters as a member of the football, skiing, and lacrosse teams.Â
A three-year letterman in football, Howard was a defensive back and linebacker for some of the finest football teams ever assembled at Norwich. He helped the Cadets post records of 6-2 and 7-1 in his sophomore and junior seasons. Howard was part of a defensive unit that ranked second in the nation in total defense in 1969. A year later, he helped the 1970 Hall of Fame team finish second in the Lambert Poll Rankings, the highest ranking ever for a Cadet football team.
An honor society representative and a member of the Corps, Howard spent three winters with the Norwich ski team. He helped the 1969-70 edition finish ninth at the Division I Championships. In the spring of his junior and senior year, he was a midfielder for the Cadets lacrosse team, a program that has just recently been started.Â
After graduating with a degree in physical education in 1972, Howard began a long career in the Army. He served just under 25 years before retiring last September as a Lieutenant Colonel in the field artillery division. Howard was twice awarded the Legion of Merit for service during his career.Â
Today, Howard works for Soza + Company limited in Fairfax, Virginia, as a senior analyst in the management consulting division.
