Dan Shepardson came to Norwich from Fletcher, VT, majoring in secondary education with a minor in math. "Sje[" made the dean's list three out of four years. Shep starred on the varsity soccer team for three years and was named captain during his senior year. He was also selected as the team MVP.
After Norwich, Shep distinguished himself in the field of education. He coached soccer at Northfield High School where his teams went 55 games without a loss. Shep returned to Norwich in 1991 as the mens head soccer coach, serving in that capacity through 1995. From Norwich, he went to Champlain Valley High where, as the soccer coach, his teams won five state championships. His coaching record at Champlain Valley speaks for itself with a record of 104 wins, eight losses, and seven ties.
Currently, Shep is the assistant principal at Champlain Valley. he and his wife Donna have been married for 22 years and they are the parents of four children and reside in Hinnesburg, VT.
