Louis A. DiMasi participated in baseball and hockey at Norwich and is best remembered for his outstanding play as a defenseman for the Cadet skaters. He ranks second on the all0time scoring list among NU defenders, with a 25-60-85 mark in just 93 games. A four-year letter winner, Lou was a senior captain and was named to the ECAC All-New England squad in his last season.

While at Norwich, Lous was active in the Skull and Swords, the Corps Honor Committee (three years), the Ring Committee, and Big Brother/Big Sister. He was a class officer and the president of the Cadet intramural league for three years. 

Lou taught elementary school in Northfield and in Middlebury before assuming the position of Career Development Coordinator at St. Michael's College, where he has been head ice hockey coach for four years, taking the Purple Knights from Club Status to a solid Division III team. Lou began his coaching career at Northfield High School (capturing a Division II Vermont State title in 198) before moving on to Middlebury inion High School. He spends the offseason as director of the Ocean Hockey School in Bricktown, NJ and as an instructor at the Vermont Hockey School. Lou has been a guest instructor at NU's hockey clinic for two years. A popular local speaker, he has spoken at the Rotary ALl-Star Team banquet and the Burlington Youth Hockey banquet. 

Lou earned an M.eD. in Administration at St. Michael's in 1984 and was honored by SMC's class of '85 with its Outstanding Service Award. Lou, his wife Nancy, and their sons Louis and Andrew, live in Colchester, Vermont.
