Hall of Fame
Gatti is the second of three Distinguished Letter winners in this year's class. He played football and was a member of the 1984 Hall-of-Fame team that went 9-2. After graduating, he played three years of semi-professional football with the Connecticut Giants, whom he quarterbacked to a national championship, and one year in Italy.Â
After retiring from football, Gatti went on to a 30-year career in aerospace, defense and engineering including a leadership role as Senior Executive Vice President for Raytheon. He also held the position of Vice President at Armor Holdings and BAE Systems. For the six years leading to his retirement, Gatti served as the CEO for Palladium Energy/Inentus Power. He has served Norwich on both the Board of Fellows and Board of Trustees.Â
"I always enjoyed the camaraderie pf the team coming in a few weeks before school started," Gatti said. "Being able to walk around campus in shorts and t-shirts, yet then working hard with several football practice sessions a day. All of those experiences coupled with the Corps of Cadets shaped me for the future."Â
Gatti earned his Master's in System Engineering and Business from MIT after attaining his Mechanical Engineering degree at Norwich.Â
