Junior forward Pier-Olivier Cotnoir of the Norwich University men's teams were each tabbed to Capital One Academic All-America First Team At-Large honors on Tuesday, June 5.

Cotnoir (Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec) is a health science major with a 3.77 G.P.A.  He was a first-team All-ECAC East honoree and an ECAC East all-academic honoree. Cotnoir was chosen by the New England Hockey Writer's Association as a Division II-III All-Star and received CCM Old Time Hockey First Team All-American accolades.

Cotnoir has been named the team Most Valuable Player the last two seasons and his coming off scoring a career high 21 goals and 42 points to lead Norwich to a 24-3-2 record in 2011-12. He also led Norwich to an unprecedented 14th straight ECAC East regular season title and a 10th ECAC East tournament title. The Cadets also advanced to their 10th Division III Frozen Four.
