Norwich University men's ice hockey forward Colin Mulvey (Worcester, Mass.) was recently named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (Co-SIDA)/Capital One Academic All-American At-Large Second Team squad.
Earning the prestigious distinction of Co-SIDA/Capital One Academic All-American concludes the speedy winger's historic senior season. His impressive laundry list of accolades include; American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) First Team East Region, Joe Concannon Award as the best American-born Division II-III player in New England, New England Division II-III Player of the Year, ECAC East Player of the Year and ECAC East First Team All-Conference.
Mulvey, a civil engineering major with a 3.74 overall GPA, led the Cadets to their fourth straight NCAA Division III Frozen Four by tallying 19 goals and dishing out 19 assists for 38 points, which nearly doubled his career totals. He also led the nation with nine game-winning goals and helped the Cadets clinch their unprecedented 15th straight ECAC East regular season title.
