CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Norwich University rifle team delivered one of the strongest performances in program history at the Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference (MAC) Championships, posting a program-record tying aggregate score of 4406 to finish fourth overall at the championship meet hosted by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
The Cadets' score matched the program record originally set at the 2025 NCAA Qualifiers, while also establishing a new team Air Rifle record of 2243, surpassing the previous mark of 2231 set earlier this season at West Point (Oct. 26). Norwich also recorded its highest Smallbore score of the season with a 2163.

Coach Mansfield on the Season
Head coach
Todd Mansfield praised the team's resilience and growth throughout the year.
"I am very proud of this team as they had a lot of adversity to start the season and came together and posted four of the top five aggregate scores in program history, including the last two, which were high-stress competitions," Mansfield said.
"By the end of the season, the scores were so close that choosing the scoring team came down to intersquad competitions and the coaching staff analyzing shot data to make final squad decisions."
