RANDOLPH, CENTER, Vt.- In their second meet of the season, the Norwich Men's Cross-Country team took the short trip down Interstate 89 to Vermont State Randolph for the Annual Maple Syrup Challenge, earning a third-place finish behind first-place Middlebury and second-place Fitchburg State.
Three Norwich runners placed in the top 30, with
Seth Varin (Danielson, Conn.) leading the way in ninth with at 28:17.66.
Shea Parish (Barrington, R.I.) came in a little over a minute later at 26
th with a time of 29:40.07, and
Matheu Dettenreider (Tribe Hills, N.Y.) came in 28
th at 29:43.90.

The Cadets will be back in action next weekend, Sept. 20, at the Hoffman Invitational on the campus of St. Lawrence University.
