SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Norwich University Men's Cross-Country team earned an eighth-place team finish at the Golden Bear Invitational Saturday afternoon, hosted by Western New England University, compiling 222 points behind a balanced effort from its scoring five. The Cadets posted a team total of 2:25:12, averaging 29:02 per runner with a 3:04 spread among their top finishers.
Two-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Runner of the Week
Seth Varin (Danielson, Conn.) continued to pace Norwich, crossing the line in 27:04.72 to place 21st overall in the 8K field, as he continues to set personal records.
Shea Parish (Barrington, R.I.) followed with a 48th-place finish at 28:29.25.

Norwich will look to retain their crown as GNAC Champions when it hosts the event for the second straight season on Nov. 2 at 12:00 p.m. Â
