NORTHFIELD, Vt. - A standout group of five Norwich University women's soccer student-athletes has been recognized for excellence in both academics and athletics, earning collection to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Representing a strong cross-section of experience and leadership, the quintet includes seniors
Bella Roy (Weare, N.H.),
Abby Kirrane (Lunenberg, Mass.), and
Kat Probst (Gouverneur, N.Y.), and sophomores
Jasmine Hackman (Clear Brook, Va.) and
Lily Briggs (Fair Haven, Vt.).
All five honorees surpassed the CSC's criteria, which require a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 and significant athletic contributions on the field.
Roy, a senior midfielder and nursing major with a 3.73 GPA, appeared in 17 games with 14 starts, finishing with three goals and one assist for seven points. She tallied 19 shots on the season and netted one game-winning goal.
Kirrane, a senior defender and goalkeeper, majors in criminal justice and maintains a 3.58 GPA. She played in and started all 18 games, logging over 1,500 minutes and contributing as a steady defensive presence throughout the year.
Briggs, a sophomore midfielder/forward, also majors in criminal justice and owns a 3.84 GPA. She ranked second on the team in total points, notching four goals and seven assists for 15 points while making 17 starts and logging over 1,300 minutes.
Hackman, also a sophomore midfielder/forward and a mathematics major, holds a perfect 4.00 GPA. In 13 games, she tallied three goals and two assists for eight points on 16 shots.
Probst, a senior forward and health sciences major with a 4.00 GPA, enjoyed an impressive offensive campaign, leading the Cadets with 11 goals, 25 total points, and 53 shot attempts. She earned First Team All-GNAC and GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team honors, helping propel Norwich to a second consecutive GNAC Tournament berth.
In order to be eligible for CSC Academic All-District distinction, a women's soccer player must be a sophomore athletically or higher, hold a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher, and must have appeared in at least 90 percent of the team's matches or started in at least 66 percent.
The five selections mark a strong showing for the Cadets following a successful 2025 campaign that featured seven victories and a GNAC Quarterfinal appearance.
