WINTHROP, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced its end-of-season awards on Tuesday afternoon, with two members of the Norwich University women's soccer team recognized among the league's top performers. Senior midfielder
Kat Probst (Gouverneur, N.Y.) and junior defender
Beatrice Lake (Brookfield, Vt.) were both honored for their outstanding contributions during the 2025 campaign.
"It is a great accomplishment for both Beatrice and Kat to receive such high praise from the opposing coaches in our conference," said Head Coach
Jared Cipriano. "They both represent our program in such a positive way and push the players around them to get better every day. Their hard work and dedication have helped shape them into some of the best players in our conference, and this recognition highlights the impact they have had on the field this past season."
Probst earned First Team All-Conference honors and was also selected to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team, becoming the first Cadet to earn First-Team plaudits since Brittany Casey '13 in 2012. She led the Cadets offensively with 11 goals, 25 points, 53 shot attempts, and 30 shots on target.
Her 11 goals ranked eighth in the conference, while her 25 points placed her seventh among all GNAC players. She delivered her strongest performances late in the season, tallying five points against Mitchell on Oct. 28 and scoring twice against New England College on Oct. 22.
Lake was named to the All-GNAC Second Team in recognition of her leadership on the defensive end. A cornerstone of the Cadets' back line, she helped Norwich allow the fourth-fewest total goals in the GNAC (1.11 per game) while holding opponents to an average of just 10.5 shot attempts per match. Her steady presence and defensive awareness were key factors in Norwich's success throughout the season.
Together, Probst and Lake helped propel Norwich to back-to-back GNAC Tournament appearances for the first time since the 2010-11 seasons.
The Cadets concluded the season in the GNAC Quarterfinals, achieving seven overall victories.
