NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Norwich University men's soccer senior
Oleksandr Kharchuk (Ukraine) has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, recognizing his combined excellence on the field and in the classroom.
Kharchuk, a computer security & information assurance major, carries a 3.69 cumulative grade point average and earns the distinction for the second consecutive season. The senior midfielder served as a steady presence throughout the 2025 campaign, anchoring the Cadets' defensive midfield while contributing to one of the most disciplined and competitive seasons in recent program history.
On the pitch, Kharchuk played a key role in Norwich's two-win improvement from the previous year and its return to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Semifinals. He was also recognized by the conference at season's end with All-GNAC Second Team honors and a selection to the GNAC All-Tournament Team, underscoring his consistency and impact across the full length of the season.
Academically, Kharchuk's All-District selection highlights his sustained commitment to academic achievement in a demanding technical major, while continuing to meet the high standards of performance required at the Division III level.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and meet established participation requirements within their sport.
Kharchuk becomes Norwich's lone men's soccer representative on the 2025 CSC Academic All-District Team, adding another postseason accolade to a senior season marked by leadership, consistency, and balance on and off the field.
