The Norwich Men's Soccer team returns to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament on Saturday afternoon. After earning the six seed, they will hit the road, where they will take on third-seeded Regis for the second time in seven days.

Down the Stretch
The Cadets enter the postseason, earning wins in two of their last three contests and five of their last seven to secure their spot in a tight race to the finish line. On the flip side, the Pride come in winners in four of their final five contests.

This Season's Meeting
One of those Regis wins came on Oct. 25 when they hosted the Cadets in their final home game of the campaign. The Pride struck first, breaking the ice on Callum Park's first goal of the half in the fifth minute, before he scored again in the 16^th minute. Agu Silva-Olivera added the third goal in the 23^rd minute before Norwich answered with a Shea Perkins (Carl Junction, Mo.) tally, making it a two-goal game at the half. The Cadets pressed in the second half, but were held off the scoresheet as Wylie Gardiner made five saves to seal the Regis win.

Norwich Leaders
Up front, the Cadets are led by junior midfielder Diego Fuentes (Valencia, Spain) with six goals and seven helpers for 17 points. His six tallies tie him with Perkins for the team lead, and he is tied for tenth in the GNAC in points. Gabriel Cantarero (Annapolis, Md.), Christian Grubic (Montvale, N.J.), and Daniel Hennessey (Dubai, U.A.E.) have also found the back of the net several times.

Regis Leaders
In the scoring department, the Pride are led by Nolan McMahon with 13 points (four goals, five assists) on the season. McMahon is tied for second on the team in goals behind graduate student Michael Champagne.

Goalkeeping
Kirk Rodgers (Lebanon, Ohio) anchors a Norwich defense that's allowed a GNAC-best 14 goals on the season. Rodgers also sits in the top two in the conference in save percentage (.808), goals against average (0.86), and total goals against (10). For Regis, Chris Alcon has carried the load in goal with a .690 save percentage and a 1.53 goals against average in 17 games.

These two teams will do battle in the GNAC Tournament for the second consecutive season on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., with a berth in the GNAC Semifinals on the line.
