NORTHFIELD, Vt - The Norwich tennis team claimed a decisive first victory of the season by defeating NVU-Johnson by the score of 9-0.

In the six singles match-ups, Norwich only surrendered two games throughout the entire day.  Dimitry Mucha (Harwinton, Conn.), Sebastian Mucha (Harwinton, Conn.), and Ethan Teluk (Manlius, NY) each won their singles matches with the perfect score of 6-0, 6-0.  To complete the sweep of the singles match-ups Molly Twombly (Rockport, Mass.) went 6-1, 6-0 and Assumpta Nandawula (Bakersfield, CA) went 6-0, 6-1.

The three doubles match-ups were equally successful for Norwich as the Cadets prevailed 8-0, 8-4, and 8-0.

The Cadets as slated to return to action at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday March 23rd against in-state rival Castleton University.
