SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Norwich University Wrestling team competed in the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Futures tournament Sunday afternoon where they finished 10
th out of 14 teams accumulating 25.5 points.
Freshman
Carver Moyer earned a second-place finish in the consolation bracket of the 125-pound weight class, earning two pins before losing in a 15-10 decision in the final match. "I was pleased to see Carver perform at a high level leaving it all on the line. His future looks bright," said Head Coach Alex Whitney.
Also picking up victories by fall were seniors
Aidan Schaefer (Westfield, N.J.) and
Nick Stehl in their final matches. Freshman
Imari Milton (Miramar, Fla.) also picked up a pin. Up next for the Cadets are the Regional Championships on Feb.25-26 in Gorham, Maine.
