CASTLETON, Vt. – The Norwich University men's wrestling team traveled to No. 9 Vermont State University Castleton on Thursday night, falling 43–7 in a nationally ranked road test at Glenbrook Gym.

The Cadets picked up two victories in the dual. First was Carver Moyer (Easton, Pa.) at 133 pounds, earning a tight 9–8 decision over Griffin Norwalt to briefly cut the deficit to 5–3 early in the match. Later in the meet, at 285 pounds, Rory Nolan (Wadsworth, Ohio) closed the night with a dominant 12–2 major decision over Colton Perkins.

Norwich also competed in a series of extra matches following the dual. Jeffrey Bernardi (Bethlehem, Conn.) highlighted the group with a second-period pin in 2:35 against Caleb Ives at 174 pounds, while multiple underclassmen saw valuable early-season mat time against nationally competitive opponents.

The Cadets return to action on November 22 when they resume dual meet competition against hosting Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Emmanuel College, and Roger Williams in a quad meet, commencing at 12:00 p.m.
