WESTWOOD, Mass.- On Thursday afternoon, the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) unveiled their All-Conference teams for the 2023 football season, where three members of the Norwich Football team received honors.
Following up his 2022 campaign, where he was named NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Year, grad student wide receiver
Trevor Chase (Eliot, Maine) was named to the All-Conference First Team. Chase led all Cadet receivers in receptions (47), yards (623) and touchdowns (6). Chase was also on the receiving end of the longest Norwich play from scrimmage this season with a 78-yard catch and run for a touchdown against Coast Guard on Oct. 21.
The two other honorees received second-team recognition. First is senior center
Winston Churchill (Windsor, Conn.) who served as team captain and was the anchor of the offensive line. Second is junior inside linebacker
Simon Taraska (Willowick, Ohio). Taraska finished the season fourth in the NEWMAC in total tackles (75) and was second on the team in that category only behind junior safety
Jeremy Henault (Goffstown, N.H.).
