NORTHFIELD, Vt.- On a chilly November afternoon at Sabine Field, the Norwich football team fell to the Springfield College Pride 48-6 in their penultimate home game of the regular season, as they continued New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play.
The Pride punched in the game's first score on their opening drive of the contest on a nine-yard run by TJ Welch. On the ensuing drive, the Cadets made their way to the red zone on a 50-yard double pass connection featuring

Tommy McDonaugh (Braintree, Mass.), setting up a
Will Patenaude (Goffstown, N.H.) rushing score from two yards out.
Springfield responded with a second straight scoring drive to go up a score to round out the first quarter. The Cadets forced a turnover with
Madux McGrath (Amherst, N.H.), forcing a fumble recovered by
Marcello Misuraca (Wilmington, Mass.), but were held off the scoreboard. The Pride found the end zone one more time, making it a two-score game at halftime. Springfield's rushing attack kept churning, leading to several more scores.
Leading the way defensively for Norwich was
Corey Stone (Piscataway, N.J.) with a team-high 15 total tackles, along with an interception and a pass breakup. Stone was closely followed by
Ben Primich (Yardley, Pa.) with 14 total tackles, closely followed by McGrath and
