BRISTOL, R.I.- In their second competition of the season, Norwich Wrestling had a strong outing during the Roger Williams Invitational claiming fourth place out of 12 teams.

Leading the way for the Cadets was Mason Sprinkel (Bel Air, Md.) who earned first place in the 285-pound bracket. After earning a first-round bye, Sprinkel recorded three consecutive pins en route to the championship match where he defeated Abbas Abdulrahman of Castleton with a 6-0 decision.

Also reaching the podium was Joseph Lotruglio (Andover, N.J.) who finished third in the 141-pound class. Lotruglio pinned his way to the championship semifinals, before being pinned by Wesleyan's Maxwell Martinez. He would recover by recording a win by fall in the consolation semifinals before taking a decision in the third-place bout over Wesleyan's Shailen Savur. Other high finishers for Norwich include Kyle Merritt (Hope Valley, R.I.) who placed fifth at 165-pounds, and Jabari Pinkney (Jessup, Md.) finishing sixth at 125-pounds.

The Cadets will open dual meet action when they travel to Castleton for the Battle of the Green Mountain Championship on Nov. 15 at 6 PM.
