MIDDLETOWN, Conn.- In their final competition of the season, the Norwich Wrestling team competed in the NCAA Northeast Regional Tournament over the weekend hosted by Wesleyan University. In the competition, two Cadets received podium finishes with Jabari Pinkney (Jessup, Md.) and Tyler Russ (Freehold, N.J.).

In the 125-pound bracket, Pinkney opened the competition with a win by decision and a tech fall. After falling in the Quarterfinals, he got one more win by fall earning an eighth-place finish. For Russ, at 157 pounds, after a rough start, he found his groove with two straight wins by decision eventually earning seventh place.

The 2024-25 season comes to a close with the conclusion of regionals for Norwich who will see eleven members graduate in the spring.
