SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Norwich University wrestling team competed at Springfield College Friday afternoon, where they were unable to overcome the Pride in a 35-15 defeat to the Pride.

After the Pride earned opened the match with earning victories in 133 pounds through 165 pounds, Norwich's Daniel Curran (Peterborough, N.H.) knocked off Max Grzymala by pinfall in 1:24.

The Cadets then were unable to overcome Springfield at 184 and 197 before Mason Sprinkel (Bel Air, Md.) defeated his opponent, Tyson Jones by decision, 2-1, at 285 pounds. 

Norwich will be back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 9 when they host Plymouth State.
