Men's Tennis: Norwich falls 8-1 to Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa. - The Norwich University men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Grove City College on Thursday afternoon on the second to last day of its spring break trip through the Mid-Atlantic region.

Junior Dylan Ackerman (Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands) and sophomore Noah Stillman (Danbury, Conn.) teamed up to take No. 2 doubles for Norwich's lone victory of the day. The duo downed Andrew Rodenbeck and Edward Doyle, 8-4 at the middle doubles spot to improve to 5-1 on the season together.

Norwich (4-4) battled hard in singles action, but no player was able to win a match. Senior Sam Beiter (Youngstown, N.Y.) came the closest, winning the first set 6-4, but then falling 6-4 and 6-2 in the next two sets.

The Cadets close out their spring break trip at Baldwin Wallace tomorrow with their sixth match in the last seven days.
