RUTLAND, Vt. - The Norwich University tennis team fell 7-2 to Castleton University on Tuesday night in non-conference action at the Grand Slam Tennis Center.

Gilmore improved to 6-1 at No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Jared Wheeler. Ackerman and Gilmore took No. 1 doubles vs. Wheeler and Quentin Barthe 8-6.

Norwich's (4-3, 0-1 GNAC North) No. 2 doubles team of Sam Beiter (Youngstown, N.Y.) and Tripp Wilson (Glastonbury, Conn.) lost a tough 9-8 (10-3 tiebreaker) match to Castleton's Brody Wagner and Trevor Hanna.
