BRISTOL, R.I. – The Norwich University wrestling team competed in day two of the NCAA Division III Northeast Regionals hosted by Roger Williams University on Sunday.
The Cadets finished in 14th place with 18 team points.
Senior Will Burns (Mascoutah, Ill.) was the only Cadet in action on the day, picking up a win in his first match of the day in the consolation round. Burns defeated Ken Dougherty of Johnson and Wales by a 7-4 decision at 174 pounds. Burns then fell to Shaun Gillen of SUNY Oneonta via an 18-7 major decision. Justin Marsh of WPI then defeated Burns in the fifth-place match with a 7-5 decision.
This served as the final meet of the season for Norwich.
