BRISTOL, R.I.-- The future looks bright for Norwich University wrestling as the Cadets put up several strong finishes in the "Futures" Match this weekend for the New England Region at Roger Williams. 

Freshman Bryan Giblin (Georgetown, Mass.) finished second at 184 pounds while sophomore Cody Gladstone (Merrimack, N.H.) and sophomore Steven Maldonado (Nyack, N.Y.) also finished second at 174 pounds and 285 pounds, respectively.

At 197 pounds, the Cadets got a third-place a finish from Jacob Towse (West Springfield, Mass.) and Wayne McGuire (Tolland, Conn.) finished fourth.

"A lot of our guys wrestled well, but all three finalists had standout performances. Overall it was a great day," said head coach Alex Whitney.

The Cadets will be off until March 2. when they head to the New England Championships.
