men's tennis team won its second consecutive match Thursday
afternoon as the Cadets got past in-state rival Lyndon State
College, 6-3, in a non-conference match at Shapiro Field House.
Norwich (5-2) took two of the three doubles points, before
winning four of the six singles matches.
Norwich's No. 1 doubles team of Collin Hyte and Fritz
Kaelber continued to play well together as the tandem picked up an
8-2 victory over Teddy Fournier and Mike Howard at the top spot.
Lyndon State bounced back at the second doubles match as the
pairing of Brad Darby and Matt Lentes edged NU's team of
Logan O'Neill and Graham Oliveira, 9-7. The Cadets went into
singles play with a 2-1 lead, though, thanks to a win by Chris
Pashley and Travis Tyler at No. 3 doubles. The tandem teamed up to
take an 8-3 decision from Jeremiah Powell and Tyler Schofield.

dispatched Howard, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 2 singles.
Lyndon State (5-2) picked up singles wins at Nos. 3 and 4 as
Darby and Lentes earned straight-set victories over O'Neill
and Oliveira.
