PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Johnson & Wales University men's tennis team posted a 6-3 victory over Norwich University in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest at the Moses Brown Courts on Saturday afternoon.

JWU (1-2, 1-1 GNAC) took the 2-1 lead after opening with the doubles competition and then took four of the six singles matches en route to the victory.

Norwich (1-1, 0-1 GNAC) was led by Collin Hyte and Fritz Kaelber, as both players picked up two wins on the day. Hyte earned a 6-2, 4-0 victory at No. 1 singles, while Kaelber garnered a 6-3, 6-4 verdict at second singles. The two also teamed up to pick up an 8-2 triumph at No. 1 doubles.

James Adriano notched a 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles for the Wildcats, and he teamed with Gino Richter for an 8-5 win at second doubles. Devin Kitterick recorded a pair of victories for the Wildcats as well, posting a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles and a 9-8 win at third doubles with John Sepowitz.

Norwich returns to action on Tuesday, March 30, when the Cadets entertain in-state rival Johnson State College at Shapiro Field House. First serve for the non-league match is set for 3 p.m.
