WORCESTER, Mass. - Shawn Roche scored four
goals, and Jeremy Urquhart added three goals to lead Clark to a
13-4 victory over Norwich in a Pilgrim League men's lacrosse game
Saturday evening.
The Cadets fall to 0-2 (0-1 Pilgrim) with the loss. The Cougars,
meanwhile, improve to 2-6 (1-0 Pilgrim).
Clark outscored Norwich, 5-0, in the first quarter, and the
Cougars led 8-1 at halftime. Clark added five unanswered goals in
the third quarter to assume a commanding 13-1 lead through 45
minutes of play.
Norwich outscored Clark, 3-0, in the fourth quarter.
Tyler Nicoll scored three goals to pace the Norwich attack.
Kristopher Bleach added one goal for the Cadets. Kyle Marzeoti,
Patrick Sikora, Frank Candelmo and Craig Van Yahres each picked up
one assist in the contest.
Clark outshot Norwich, 37-12, in the game. The Cougars held a
19-5 edge in shots on goal.
Norwich will open the home portion of its 2009 schedule on
Tuesday, March 31, when the Cadets host Daniel Webster in a
non-league contest. Gametime is slated for 3 p.m.
