BRISTOL, R.I. - Six Cadets placed within the
Top 6 to lead the Norwich University wrestling team to a
fourth-place finish at the Scott Viera Invitational Sunday
afternoon. NU racked up 58.50 points and finished last in the
four-team field.
Roger Williams won the event with 155.00 points, with Williams
finishing second (139.50 points) and Plymouth State placing a
distant third (67.00).
Silas Bowerman led Norwich's list of placewinners, as he
finished runner-up at 174 pounds. Scott MacLean (133 pounds) and
Jordan Ferguson (184) each finished fourth in their weight classes.
Sean Scales took fifth at 141 pounds, while Ray Gauthier (174
pounds) and Chris Balich (285) each placed sixth.
Norwich returns to action on Jan. 9-10, when the Cadets take
part in the Lycoming Duals.
