WINTHROP, Mass. – Norwich University men's golfer Cooper Bertrand (Caledon, Ont.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Golfer of the Week following another standout week on the course for the Cadets and the second time this season.

Bertrand delivered a strong performance at the Battle of Boston hosted by Suffolk University, earning a second-place finish to lead the Cadets against a competitive field shooting +2 on the day to lead the team to a 3rd place finish.

The Senior continued his strong week Sunday at the Country Club of Barre, helping Norwich secure a 6-5 Match Play victory over GNAC foe New England College. Bertrand earned his individual match victory to contribute to the Cadets' team triumph on their home course.

Bertrand's performance marks another impressive stretch for the Norwich standout, who has consistently been the Cadets' top performer throughout the season.

The honor marks Bertrand's second GNAC weekly award this season, adding to his previous weekly honor last week.

Bertrand and the Cadets return to action Tuesday at 9am at Keene State.
