CANDIA, N.H. – The Norwich University men's golf team placed third out of five teams at the Battle of Boston on Friday at Candia Woods Golf Links, paced by a runner-up finish from Cooper Bertrand (Caledon, Ont.).

Bertrand turned in a +2 performance to finish second overall and lead the Cadets in the individual standings. His second-place finish marked another strong showing for the senior, who has consistently paced the Norwich lineup throughout this fall season.

Jake Kavanagh (Kirkland, Quebec) followed closely behind, finishing tied for fourth overall at +5. Kavanagh's performance gave Norwich two golfers inside the tournament's top five.

Colin Elliott (Peterborough, Ont.) finished 17th overall at +9, while Ben van Waterschoot (Whitby, Ont.) carded a +10 to place 18th.

Sami Molu (Toronto, Ont.) rounded out the notable finishes in the Norwich lineup, finishing 20th overall with a final score of +12.

The third-place finish continues a strong stretch of competition for the Cadets, who have earned multiple top-four team finishes throughout the fall season. Norwich will return to action Sunday, Sept. 27, when the Cadets host New England College at the Country Club of Barre.
