WINTHROP, Mass. - The Norwich University men's swimming & diving team earned another trio of weekly conference honors on Monday afternoon, as
Drew Bylow (Monroe, Mich.) was named GNAC Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season,
Max Ansell (Red Bank, N.J.) collected his second GNAC Rookie of the Week accolade, and
Kristian Adlianitski (Cheshire, Conn.) landed on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll for the third time in 2025-26.
The Cadets opened the 2026 calendar year with a statement win, sweeping all 14 events entered in a dominant 194.5-82.5 victory at Keene State College on Saturday.
Bylow led the way with a commanding three-win individual showing, capturing first place in the 100-yard backstroke (55.29), 200-yard backstroke (2:02.66), and 200-yard individual medley (2:05.62). The sophomore also contributed to Norwich's meet-opening victory in the 200-yard medley relay, as the Cadets set the tone early and never looked back.
Ansell continued to impress with his versatility, notching his second career GNAC Rookie honor behind a strong all-around effort. The freshman claimed the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:29.04, added a third-place result in the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.21), and helped Norwich close the meet with a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay. He also competed on Norwich's B-relay in the 200 medley, helping the Cadets dominate in both relays.
Adlianitski added two more individual wins to his season total, pacing the field in both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.59) and 100-yard freestyle (50.89). The junior also swam on both winning relay squads and remains one of the conference's most consistent contributors in sprint and breaststroke events.
Norwich improved to 4-1 in dual meets this season and will return to Goodyear Pool on Saturday, Jan. 17, to host Plymouth State University for Senior Day at 12:00 p.m. The Cadets will then close the regular season on Saturday, Jan. 24, at Eastern Connecticut State University.
