Men's Swimming & Diving: Adlianitski, Bylow, Hallstrom lead Norwich past Warriors in regular season finale

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. - The Norwich University men's swimming & diving team wrapped up its regular season slate on a high note on Saturday afternoon, cruising past Eastern Connecticut State University, 150-112, at the Sports Center Pool.

The Cadets claimed 10 of 14 events in a dominant showing, featuring a deep and balanced performance across all disciplines.  Norwich was led by a trio of multi-event winners in Kristian Adlianitski (Cheshire, Conn.), Drew Bylow (Monroe, Mich.), and John Connor Hallstrom (Bethany, Conn.), each collecting multiple individual victories to power the team's sixth dual-meet win of the season.

Adlianitski continued his sprinting tear with victories in the 50-yard freestyle (22.00), 100-yard freestyle (49.11), and 50-yard breaststroke (26.67), while also contributing to the 200-yard medley relay team alongside Adrian Riendeau (Ridgecrest, Calif.), Andrew Clark (Acworth, Ga.), and Bylow.

Bylow again showcased his versatility with wins in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.82), 100-yard backstroke (55.44), and 50-yard butterfly (24.52), while Hallstrom swept the distance events, taking first in both the 1000-yard (10:09.54) and 500-yard freestyle (5:00.09).

Clark added a strong fly finish in the 100-yard event, claiming first in 55.43.  Riendeau dominated the 50-yard backstroke with a winning time of 25.73, and Max Ansell (Red Bank, N.J.) notched a third-place showing in the 100-yard breaststroke, touching in 1:06.40.

The Cadets also earned a pair of runner-up relay finishes.  Riendeau, Adlianitski, Clark, and Bylow combined for a second-place 1:41.05 finish in the 200-yard medley relay to open the meet, while Ansell, Gabe Wettig (Ballston Spa, N.Y.), Hallstrom, and Clark posted a 1:33.11 in the closing 200-yard freestyle relay.

LEADERS: With the win, Norwich concludes regular season action at 6-1 in dual meets and turns its focus to the 2026 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships.  The Cadets will head to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) for the three-day meet beginning Friday, Feb. 6, where they will aim to defend their three-time GNAC crown.
