POTSDAM, N.Y. - The Norwich University men's swimming & diving team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule with a fourth-place finish at the North Country Invitational, hosted by SUNY Potsdam across two days of competition on Friday and Saturday.
The Cadets tallied 310 points over the weekend to finish behind Roberts Wesleyan University (413), Clarkson University (559), and team champion Saint Michael's College (614).
Norwich earned six top-three individual finishes and posted strong results in both medley and freestyle relays, with standout contributions, including from sophomore
Drew Bylow (Monroe, Mich.), senior
Adrian Riendeau (Ridgecrest, Calif.), junior
Andrew Clark (Acworth, Ga.), and sophomore
Gabe Wettig (Ballston Spa, N.Y.).
Bylow highlighted the meet with a win in the 200-yard individual medley, touching in 2:00.73, and added a runner-up finish in the 100 backstroke (54.79) and third in the 200 back (2:00.64). He also anchored Norwich's top-finishing relay, with the 400-yard freestyle relay clocking in at 3:17.69.
Clark delivered a runner-up effort in the 200 fly (1:57.25), fifth in the 100 fly (54.09), and helped the Cadets secure strong finishes in all four relays. Riendeau placed third in the 400 IM (4:30.75) and contributed to all four relays, while Wettig added key legs in the 400 medley, 400 free, and 200 free relays.
In the distance events,
John Connor Hallstrom (Bethany, Conn.) took third in the 1650-yard freestyle (17:14.55) and sixth in the 500 free (4:58.83).Â
Max Ansell (Red Bank, N.J.) added a seventh-place showing in the 50 free (23.16) and anchored the fourth-place 200 medley relay.
Other notable finishes included
Anthony Helmer (Morristown, N.J.) placing seventh in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.01) and eighth in the 200 breaststroke (2:35.61), and
Noah Lowe (Latham, N.Y.) finishing eighth in the 100 free (51.62).

The Cadets will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 10, with a road dual at Keene State College. Start time is set for 11:00 a.m. Norwich then hosts Plymouth State University for Senior Day on Saturday, Jan. 17, at Goodyear Pool.
