Less than five minutes later, Mary Vaughan scored a power play goal to give the Southern Maine a 2-0 advantage with 8:39 to play in the second stanza. Shorey was credited with the assist on the goal.

Megan Irving scored the final goal of the night, scoring with 6:38 left in the third period. Shorey and Gibson each picked up assists on the scoring play.
