WINTHROP, Mass. – Norwich University men's soccer goalkeeper Victor Kalorin (Raliegh, N.C.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week following a standout week between the woodworks for the Cadets.

Kalorin stepped into the starting goalkeeper role this week and helped Norwich secure a pair of victories, including a conference road victory on Saturday, 1-0. 

The freshman goalkeeper opened the week with a shutout performance against SUNY Canton before helping the Cadets earn a narrow 1-0 road victory over Elms. Kalorin stood tall throughout the contest, making the necessary saves to preserve the clean sheet and secure Norwich's second win of the week.

Across the two victories, Kalorin turned aside all eight shots he faced while keeping both opponents off the scoreboard. His performances helped Norwich's defense remain unbeaten during the week and provided the Cadets with a pair of important victories.

Kalorin through two games has made pivotal saves that saw two tight games where only three goals were scored by the Cadets, come out on top with 6 points. 

The GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week honor marks Kalorin's first weekly conference recognition of the season after stepping when his number was called on.
