KEENE, N.H. – The Norwich University men's golf team turned in another strong showing at the Keene State Invitational on a rainy Thursday afternoon, finishing in a tie for third place with Western Connecticut State after carding a team score of 312 at Keene Country Club.
Three-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Golfer of the Week Cooper Bertrand (Caledon, Ont.) led the way for the Cadets, firing a 74 (+3) to earn a share of second place overall in the 34-player field. Bertrand finished just one stroke behind medalist Taylor Miller of Keene State, who posted a 73 (+2).
Norwich had a pair of golfers post top 15 finishes, as Harrison Giambattista (Danielson, Conn.) and JD Mahoney (Ellicott City, Md.) shot 79 (+8) to tie for 11th.
